Chlid Care & School entry requirements

Children must have required immunizations before they can attend school or child care in California. Parents must present their child's Immunizations Record to school or child care staff as proof of immunization prior to admission. Health care providers are required to give or update the parents copy of the child's Immunization Record whenever these immunizations are administered. Children who have not completed all immunizations will be admitted if they are up-to-date (no doses currently due), provided they obtain the next vaccines when they are due.

It is a good idea to protect your child against infections and disease by keeping up with all immunization requirements.Please click on a link below for charts provided by the CDC that will help you keep up.

If you have missed some shots you could still catch up.There is no need to restart a vaccine series regardless of the time that has elapsed between doses. Use the appropriate chart on the catch-up schedule for your child's age.
